Great to meet you!

I am a Chinese American Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) committed to understanding the impact of loss and trauma when treating children, families and individuals. I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Fordham University and a Master’s degree from Rutgers University, where I focused my studies on violence against women and children. I have worked in a variety of settings including residential substance abuse programs, harm-reduction clinics, and large non-profits in addition to private practice.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is dynamic and warm. I respect every person's right to self-determination whether in relation to treatment goals or lifestyle choices. I have specific training in trauma-informed care and violence against women and children. I also work with clients who are experiencing gender, sexuality, or other identity issues. I approach adversity with an affirming attitude while also challenging unhelpful thought processes. Sessions can be as structured or unstructured as you wish.

What you can expect from me

My goal with every client is to make them feel seen and validated with zero judgment. I simultaneously develop short and long-term solutions to empower them to be their best advocate.
