Great to meet you!

Welcome! I’m Elisabeth Powell, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 10 years' experience providing compassionate, trauma-informed care. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Georgia State University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia.

My approach is strengths-based and person-centered, meaning I meet you where you are, without an agenda, and tailor our work to support your unique journey. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), skills-based therapeutic interventions, mindfulness, and trauma-focused approaches to help clients explore patterns, develop coping strategies, and build resilience.

I specialize in working with individuals navigating trauma, mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder, and the impact of cultural and systemic challenges.

If you’re ready to begin this journey together, I’d love to connect.

My approach to therapy

I fully believe individuals possess an inherent strength. In that strength lies the courage to embark on a therapeutic journey. With 10 years of experience working with adults in both individual and group settings, I am committed to creating a supportive and empowering environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Whether you’re navigating life transitions, experiencing specific challenges with your mood, coping with stress, or seeking to deepen your self-understanding, my goal is to partner with you on your journey toward healing and growth. I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities to tailor our sessions to your specific needs and goals. Together, we will uncover the resources within you to foster resilience and create meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Sessions with me are collaborative, nonjudgmental, and rooted in safety and trust. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, validated, and empowered to work through life’s challenges. Depending on your needs, our work together may help you:

  • Gain deeper self-awareness and insight into patterns that impact your emotions and behaviors
  • Develop practical coping skills to manage stress, anxiety, depression, or trauma responses
  • Build emotional regulation strategies through mindfulness and skills-based interventions
