Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in helping clients feel seen, understood, and supported throughout the counseling process.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, improve their mood, and develop healthier behaviors that align with the life they want to live. I have experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, stress, self-esteem, family challenges, and emotional regulation.

I believe that every client already possesses strengths and abilities that can support meaningful change. My role is to help clients recognize those strengths, develop practical coping skills, and create lasting habits that support a happier and more fulfilling life. I strive to provide a calm, respectful, culturally responsive, and affirming space where clients can grow at their own pace.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, empathetic, collaborative, and focused on helping clients create meaningful and lasting change. I strive to provide a calm, culturally responsive, and affirming environment where clients feel seen, heard, respected, and comfortable discussing their experiences without fear of judgment.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients recognize how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we identify and examine unhelpful thinking patterns, develop healthier perspectives, and practice practical coping strategies that clients can apply in their everyday lives. I also tailor treatment to each client’s individual needs, goals, cultural background, strengths, and personal experiences.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults through individual, couples, and family counseling. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, stress, relationship and family concerns, self-esteem, emotional regulation, life transitions, and personal growth. I believe that clients already possess many of the strengths and abilities needed to improve their lives. My role is to support them in recognizing those strengths, building confidence, and developing habits that more closely align with the life they want to live.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where they have space to share what has brought them to therapy. I will ask questions to better understand their concerns, personal history, strengths, support system, and what they hope to gain from counseling.

Together, we will begin identifying treatment goals and discussing what progress may look like. I also explain my therapeutic approach, answer questions, and make sure clients feel comfortable with the process. My goal is for clients to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and clearer about the next steps in their counseling journey.
