Great to meet you!

I am a licensed professional counselor with a PhD in counselor education and supervision. I work primarily with adults who feel exhausted, overwhelmed, or burned out from trying to meet constant demands, manage others’ expectations, and keep everything together.

My areas of focus include anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, self-criticism, difficulty setting boundaries, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are tired of feeling responsible for everything, second-guessing themselves, or pushing through even when something is no longer working.

My style is calm, warm, and professional. I aim to create a space where clients can slow down, understand themselves more clearly, and make changes without feeling judged or pressured.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or ACT. I help clients understand the patterns contributing to burnout, perfectionism, anxiety, and difficulty setting boundaries, while also identifying concrete ways to respond differently.

I often think of counseling as similar to physical therapy. We begin by identifying what is not working, develop specific goals, and work intentionally toward improving how you feel and helping your life more closely reflect your values. Therapy may include space to process emotions and experiences, but our work will also have direction. We will regularly connect what we discuss in session to the changes you want to make outside of it.

My goal is not for you to attend therapy indefinitely without a clear sense of progress. I want our work to help you become more flexible, more confident in your choices, and better able to build a life that feels sustainable and meaningful.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know each other and understand what is bringing you to therapy. I will ask about what has been feeling difficult, how it is affecting your daily life, and what you hope will change through our work together.

You do not need to arrive with everything organized or know exactly where to begin. I will help guide the conversation while leaving room for you to share what feels most important.

We will also discuss your goals, what you are looking for in a therapist, and whether my approach feels like a good fit. By the end of the session, we will begin identifying the patterns you want to change and developing a shared direction for treatment.
