Great to meet you!

Warm greetings! I have worked for about thirty years in human services before changing careers to be a therapist. During that time, I worked with people with developmental disabilities, youth who identify as LGBTQAI+, older adults and their caregivers, survivors of the Holocaust, people facing financial distress and I taught both at the graduate and undergraduate level. These opportunities have guided me in my role as a psychotherapist.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Along with being a Licensed Social Worker, I am a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist. I draw from many methods, including Psychodrama and Somatic Experiencing. Mindfulness practices are often brought into our sessions. We may take a peek at the past by doing some reenactment, or practice new roles for the future. Each session is unique.

What you can expect from our first session

I am no stranger to profound loss. To that end, I have learned to live with grief and remarkably, find joy. I am inspired by a quote of Poet Kahlil Gibran, “The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.” This way of life has worked for me, and for those who seek this sort of healing, I welcome to join you on your journey.
