Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Elise — it’s really nice to meet you. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I’ve been working in the mental health field since 2013. Over the years I’ve supported people in a variety of settings, including community programs, school‐based services, and outpatient therapy.

My practice includes experience working with clients of all ages, but I’m especially passionate about helping teens and young adults navigate the big, messy, meaningful parts of growing up aka life. I often focus on depression, anxiety, trauma, behavior challenges, stress, and struggles with self‐image or self‐esteem.

My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes at your own pace.

My approach to therapy

I would describe myself as warm and welcoming. I operate from a person-centered approach and believe in the importance of meeting you where you’re at to find a treatment path that works best for you! I understand that therapy isn’t ‘one size fits all’ and whether you are searching for healing, balance or simply support to navigate through life’s daily challenges, I’m here for you.

Other therapeutic approaches I use depending on your needs could include cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma informed care, strengths-based therapy approaches, psychoeducation, mindfulness and EMDR.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an introductory session where we talk about what brings you into therapy...aka ‘your story’. I strongly believe in rapport building and establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship right from the start. I want you to feel comfortable because I know that coming to therapy for the first time can be scary. From there, we’ll talk about possible goals you want to work on and develop a treatment plan for achieving these goals. The pace of therapy is up to you but know you’re not in this alone!
