Great to meet you!

I graduated in 2018 from Walden University with a Masters in Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Specializing in Crisis and Trauma Counseling. I completed my BS in Psychology with an emphasis in Criminology in 2013 from the University of Idaho.

I worked as a Drug and Alcohol/Crisis Interventionist at our local high school for 5 years while completing my Masters. Prior to that, I worked as a community sexual assault victims advocate for our local surrounding counties.

A bit about my approach to therapy

"Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyways"- John Wayne

I'm not like your typical counselor. I enjoy creating an environment where you feel comfortable to share, joke, cry and grow from. I try to make every session feel like you're talking to a friend and gaining valuable self-reflection from. I do not believe that any client is cookie cutter. I as a counselor thrive for my clients "light bulb" moments where you identify the your needs and gain healthy perspective.

What you can expect from our first session

I use integrated techniques with my clients and match the modalities used with the clients current identified needs and future goals. I am always open to feedback from my clients and allow them to be in control of our sessions and what they are hoping to gain. We will work hard together, but it will never feel like a chore for you. I want you to walk away from each session feeling refreshed and hopeful.
