Hi, I’m Eliza, the founder of Healed by Horses. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw, Poland. I’m Gestalt Equine Psychotherapy (GEP) certified after completing a two-year training program at the Gestalt Equine Institute of the Rockies in Colorado. Currently, I am a licensed mental health counselor based in Sarasota, Florida.
My approach to therapy is grounded in Gestalt Equine Therapy, which emphasizes present-moment awareness and authentic connections with horses and nature. It goes beyond verbal processing and gain insight into emotional regulation and reconnection with your true -self. I also integrate holistic practices, including natured based therapy, art therapy, mindfulness, or play therapy to help individuals explore and process emotions, often related to past experiences. I offer talk therapy through telehealth, experiential methods as animal assisted therapy using horses or engaging in creative, nature-based activities, I tailor each session to meet the unique needs and experiences of my clients.
Clients can expect to gain greater self-awareness, increase self-esteem, emotional healing, and personal growth through our sessions. By connecting with nature, interacting with animal and engaging in multisensory activities you can gain insight into emotional regulation and relationships. It goes beyond verbal processing, you’ll find ways to overcome challenges such as trauma, depression, ADHD, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. My goal is to empower you to live a more fulfilled and balanced life, supported by a compassionate and empathetic environment.
