Great to meet you!

I have trained and worked in clinics, hospitals, and primary care. Therefore, I take a collaborative and multi-dimensional approach. Understanding your physical, relational, and spiritual health are important to understanding the mental/emotional space you find yourself in currently. I explore each of these areas with you. I am passionate about the ethics of my role and want you to feel empowered to ask questions and clarify your goals.

My approach to therapy

Overall my approach to therapy is grounded in what are called Evidence-Based Practices. This means that we take all the knowledge and research for a given issue and apply it in the therapy room. We want to use the best "medicine" out there for your given concerns. Sometimes we will use parts of various approaches as we hone your particular goals and preferences. These approaches mainly stem from CBT, ACT, DBT, Narrative Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.

What you can expect from me

I believe that therapy can be transformative. This work is done as a collaboration. However, you are with yourself 24 hours a day. So, at the end of each session we will have time to discuss the take aways and things to practice. Sometimes a change in perspective or insight in therapy makes profound change. However, a lot of change is little bits of hard work over time. I will work with you to identify those small changes and how to set you up for success to take the next step forward.
