Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am so glad you are here today! My name is Elizabeth Aceves and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. As an experienced bilingual counselor, I am committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment in which you feel supported in becoming your best, authentic self.

My approach to therapy

I work primarily with individuals and families who are seeking support regarding issues with anxiety, depression, trauma, healthy communication and boundaries, goal setting and coping skills. I believe in a client-centered approach and provide solution-focused and cognitive behavioral therapy to my clients.

What you can expect from me

Cultural Sensitivity and Understanding: I can navigate and respect cultural nuances, offering a safe space for clients to express themselves in the language that feels most comfortable to them. This can help in deepening trust and creating a more personal connection.

A Safe, Nonjudgmental Space: A central aspect of therapy is having a place where clients feel heard, supported, and understood. I aim to create an environment where clients can express themselves freely, without fear of judgment.

Clarity and Insight: Through our conversations, clients often gain a deeper understanding of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This self-awareness can help identify patterns, triggers, and underlying issues that may be affecting their well-being.

Coping Strategies and Tools: Clients will leave with practical tools and coping strategies tailored to their specific needs. Whether it’s learning mindfulness, improving communication skills, or managing stress, these techniques help clients better navigate life's challenges.

Empowerment and Confidence: Therapy often empowers clients to make decisions, set boundaries, and take control of their lives. The process helps build self-esteem and confidence, as clients work through difficulties and grow in resilience.

Personal Growth and Healing: Clients can expect to make progress toward personal goals, whether that's emotional healing, overcoming past trauma, improving relationships, or simply learning to manage day-to-day stress.

Ultimately, clients will walk away from sessions feeling more equipped to face challenges, more in touch with themselves, and more confident in their ability to lead a fulfilling life.
