Great to meet you!

Welcome/ Bienvenidos! Choosing to start therapy is a brave and meaningful step toward personal growth, and I am here to support you in that journey. My name is Elizabeth Aponte-Perez, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I believe that every person possesses an innate strength to overcome obstacles, and my goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel truly heard and understood. Whether you are navigating a difficult transition or seeking deeper self-awareness, I am committed to walking alongside you as you discover your own path to healing. Bienvenidos a terapia. Mi nombre es Elizabeth Aponte-Perez. Yo hablo español e inglés. Me gustaría apoyarte en la búsqueda de tus metas personales para conocerte a ti mismo(a) y que te sientas escuchad(o) a y validada.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. I integrate evidence-based practices with a warm, client-centered focus to help you identify patterns and develop practical tools for lasting change. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, life shifts, or a desire for deeper self-awareness, our work will focus on uncovering your strengths. I prioritize cultural sensitivity and aim to make therapy a space where your background and identity are honored.

What you can expect from me

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions and the reason(s) for therapy. Limits to confidentiality and expectations for therapy are discussed. Then, talk about the specific challenges you're facing. Once this is achieved, I create a tailored plan to work with you in follow-up sessions. There is time for questions, and weekly appointments are scheduled.
