Great to meet you!

Greetings and welcome. My name is Dr. Elizabeth Brillon, DSW, LCSW, C-DBT, CCTP-II (she/her/ella) and I am the President and Owner of Healing Horizons Therapy. I am a clinical therapist with over fifteen years of expansive experience in clinical mental health, trauma, and leadership. My clinical licenses are currently active in both Pennsylvania and Virginia.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is a collaborative partnership that is based on authenticity, safety, and affirming strength-based empowerment. The style that I utilize includes an interactive approach of talk therapy guided by the goals that matter most to the clients I work with and as customized in the treatment plan. I utilize various foci in sessions, including but not limited to trauma-informed therapy, CBT, DBT, EMDR, psychoeducation, and supportive psychotherapy.

What you can expect from me

Therapy is a process and it will take time to reach your goals. An overall goal of therapy is to work to identify your strengths and confidence to break through the unique challenges and struggles that you identify in your life. Another overall goal is to develop positive coping skills. I seek for all of the clients I partner with to feel validated in a safe environment. In sessions, you will practice and learn the tools you need to be independently resilient.
