Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas with nearly a decade of experience supporting youth and families navigating substance use, behavioral challenges, and system involvement. My background includes work in correctional settings, community mental health, hospitals, and family-centered care, giving me a strong understanding of how legal, school, and family systems intersect.

I specialize in working with teens who may be struggling with drug or alcohol use, school issues, or legal involvement. Many of the clients I work with feel stuck in patterns that are hard to break or resistant to traditional approaches. I meet them with a balance of honesty and support, helping them better understand their choices while building healthier ways to cope.

My approach is collaborative, direct, and solution-focused. I create a space where teens feel respected and understood, while also being challenged to take accountability and move forward. I work closely with parents and systems when appropriate, with the goal of creating real, lasting change at home, in school, and beyond.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, solution-focused, and grounded in honesty, accountability, and respect. I work primarily with teens who are navigating substance use, behavioral challenges, and mental health concerns, often alongside school issues or legal involvement.

I believe therapy should be both supportive and challenging. I meet teens where they are while also directly addressing the choices, patterns, and influences that may be keeping them stuck. My style is practical and goal-oriented, helping clients build insight, improve decision-making, and develop healthier ways to cope.

I work from a non-judgmental, trauma-informed lens while still holding space for responsibility and growth. When appropriate, I involve parents and collaborate with schools or legal systems to support consistent progress across environments. My goal is to help teens create meaningful, lasting change that supports success at home, in school, and in their future.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to feel structured, respectful, and focused on understanding what is going on right now. I work to create a space that feels safe, direct, and non-judgmental, especially for teens who may feel hesitant or unsure about therapy.

During the first session, we will talk about what is bringing your teen in, any school or legal concerns, and what changes you are hoping to see. I also make space to hear directly from the teen, even if they are unsure or resistant at first. Together, we begin identifying goals that feel realistic and meaningful.

You can expect clear expectations, collaboration, and a balanced approach that includes both support and accountability. My goal is for families to leave the first session feeling understood, informed, and clear on next steps.
