Great to meet you!

I am an LCSW and have been working with individuals in the field of social work for over 35 years. I have enjoyed working as a psychotherapist in the field since 2015 and remotely since 2020. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children at the beach or in the mountains. I also enjoy a variety of activities including reading, gardening, genealogy, and crafting.

My approach to therapy

As a psychotherapist specializing in anxiety, depression, stress, and grief, I ascribe to an eclectic approach with a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and solution-based therapy. A client-centered, goal-focused approach assures the client is addressing the challenges that brought them to therapy and helps them understand and implement the necessary changes to live an emotionally healthy and productive life.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect the first session to be a gathering of information on areas that impact emotional health such as symptoms they are experiencing, medical challenges, and life transitions. Goals are identified in the first session and addressed/modified in the following sessions. Each session starts with challenges experienced in the past week(s) and the impact on the client's emotional health. Effective coping techniques are identified and homework/plan for the upcoming week is developed.
