Great to meet you!

Born to parents who emigrated from Hong Kong, Elizabeth Chan was raised in the diverse melting pot of New York City as a first-generation Chinese American. After college, Elizabeth moved to Nashville, where she began traveling the world as a drummer and tour manager for over a decade, affording her the unique opportunity to hear thousands of people’s stories. This sparked in her a passion for mental health, eventually leading Elizabeth to complete her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Utilizing an integrative approach to therapy and trauma-informed care, Elizabeth helps clients gain greater awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and bodies through modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems, and mindfulness training.

Elizabeth is passionate about working with all genders ages 16 and older, with a particular interest in complex trauma, anxiety, depression, religious trauma, and culturally sensitive therapy.

What you can expect from our first session

Elizabeth believes that wholeheartedness occurs when one comes to understand their intrinsic worth and their capacity to be seen, heard, known, and loved. Thus, Elizabeth's hope is that each client experiences a deep sense of belonging and the profound joy of knowing that she is glad to present with them along every step of their journey and that they are not alone.
