I am licensed clinical psychologist, with a PhD from Virginia Commonwealth University with a concentration in behavioral medicine. I have prior experience working in medical settings where I focused on supporting individuals living with chronic illness or life limiting conditions that may impact quality or quantity of life. My overarching direction is to help people pursue health and meaning throughout the course of their lives.
I work with an evidence-based, goal-oriented approach, and provide strategic cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to adults. I also make use of ACT, DBT skills, PTSD specific treatments (CPT, PE), and motivational interviewing.
I believe in partnering with my clients for decision-making and incorporate use of motivational interviewing to facilitate behavior change that is client-centered.
