Great to meet you!

Hi there! I'm Elizabeth. I really enjoy a wide range of activities that involve traveling, trying new foods, hiking/ being outdoors in general, reading, animals, marine biology and of course all things nerdy. We're talking DC vs Marvel and debates on which is better.

I graduated from Troy University in 2018 with a master's in Clinical Mental Health and have worked with a wide range of patients since 2019. I officially became licensed in the state of Florida in July 2024. The main population I work with is 18 years and up, particularly those with any type of trauma and /or military background. As this is my main niche of people I have served; I do have experience working with couples/ relationships in general.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is simple. Just that. I am very open and transparent about a multitude of things. Have a question, just ask (of course within reason and nothing too personal). Depending on what you need, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT, and Prolonged Exposure to help you process and move through hard experiences. I also use Motivational Interviewing, Problem-Solving Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, and Positive Psychology to build on your strengths and help you take real steps forward. For couples, I work from the Gottman Method. I do not believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. I tailor everything to you, the person actually sitting in front of me.

What you can expect from me

First of all- congrats! you did the hardest part which is reaching out and setting this meeting up! You can expect to go over expectations of therapy and the overall goals we would like to accomplish throughout this journey. Treat our first meeting as a mutual interview to make sure we are a proper fit! We may also go over the intake questions or any consent forms you may have further questions about. Expect at least a 30-minute to an hour session for our first introduction.
