Great to meet you!

Elizabeth is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker /Supervisor in Texas who graduated Stephen F Austin State University with a Masters of Social Work in 2001, with honors while taking care of her aging/disabled mother and as a single parent, raising two daughters who now live in Galveston and Austin. She has been in private practice as a mental health consultant in nursing homes since 2004.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Listening, hearing, relating, not judging, using kindness, empathy, understanding, finding strengths, using examples to discover forgiveness and learn to live in grace. The best therapy is laughter and the trick to that is finding the humor. The journey of 1000 miles may begin with the first step, but it’s always nice to find the yellow brick road first!

Do not let the social work background confuse you, I have never worked for CPS.

What you can expect from our first session

We start with self-awareness and I’ll invite you, hopefully, gently, to discover and grow, to heal from the past, learn to laugh, love, and live again. To forgive and to let go of your own pain. To self actualize and find the best qualities of yourself.

“... A vision of the universe that tells us undeniably how tiny and insignificant and how rare and precious we all are.... A vision that tells us that we belong to something that is greater... That we are not, that none of us are alone.” C. Sagan
