Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 20 years of experience in school counseling, mental health, and educational leadership. I hold a Master’s in Education and have specialized training in trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused strategies. I work primarily with adolescents, young adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity challenges, and life transitions. My professional experience in schools gives me a unique understanding of the pressures young people face, and I bring empathy, cultural humility, and collaboration to every therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to build coping skills, resilience, and meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and collaborative. I work closely with clients to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where they can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I integrate evidence-based strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques to help clients understand how their thoughts influence feelings and behaviors, develop healthy coping skills, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change. I tailor each session to the unique needs and goals of the individual, empowering them to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and self-awareness.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, we’ll take time to get to know you and understand what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask about your current concerns, your goals, and your history, and we’ll begin identifying the approaches and strategies that will best support your growth. This session is an opportunity to ask questions, share what’s important to you, and start building a safe, collaborative relationship. My goal is to ensure you feel heard, understood, and supported from the very beginning.
