Great to meet you!

I strive to create a therapy experience that feels warm, genuine, and approachable. Clients often describe me as down-to-earth, compassionate, and easy to talk to. I value authenticity, curiosity, and maintaining a nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable showing up as your true self. Having lived in different parts of the world, I appreciate the richness of diverse cultures, perspectives, and life experiences, and I believe healing is deeply influenced by the unique lens through which each person experiences the world. My approach is person-centered, holistic, and less focused on feeling overly clinical, with an emphasis on fostering a meaningful human connection. I aim to provide a supportive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to explore their experiences, cultivate resilience, and move toward a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and aligned with their values.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to the unique needs of each individual. I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to explore their experiences without judgment. I strive to create a supportive environment where clients can build insight, develop practical coping skills, and work toward lasting emotional well-being.

I utilize an integrative, person-centered approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities including, Dialectical Behavior Therapy focused (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness practices. Treatment is individualized to help clients understand patterns, regulate emotions, improve relationships, and process difficult life experiences.

I specialize in working with late adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, grief, and relationship challenges and trauma. For clients struggling with trauma, I incorporate EMDR and other trauma-informed interventions to help reduce distress and foster healing. For those managing intense emotions, anxiety, or interpersonal difficulties, I often integrate DBT skills to strengthen emotional regulation, distress tolerance, communication, and mindfulness.

I also value the connection between mind and body and may incorporate grounding exercises, relaxation techniques, and somatic awareness practices to support overall wellness. My goal is not only to help clients reduce symptoms but also to build resilience, increase self-understanding, and create meaningful, sustainable change.

Whether you are facing a specific challenge or simply seeking greater balance and fulfillment, I am committed to meeting you where you are and helping you move toward the life you want to live.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my focus is on getting to know you beyond the information gathered during intake. I want to understand who you are as a person—your strengths, experiences, values, relationships, and what has shaped your journey. We'll explore what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain from our work together, and any past experiences you've had with counseling, including what was helpful and what may not have felt like the right fit. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most important aspects of healing, so our initial sessions are designed to create a safe, comfortable, and nonjudgmental space where you can begin to feel seen, heard, and supported. Together, we will collaborate to develop goals that feel meaningful and authentic to you while moving at a pace that honors your individual needs and readiness for change.
