Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Elizabeth :)

I help clients explore the messages of emotions more deeply, address no-longer-adaptive coping behaviors, and build confidence to show up more authentically for themselves and in their relationships. Therapy with me is active and based in honest, non-judgmental, mindful exploration of what’s going on at the surface and underneath.

My approach to therapy

I ask a lot of questions! I see you as the subject matter expert on your own life, and I'm the researcher. Over time, the things you share and describe to me help me make connections between things that now may seem unrelated to you.

I also take a Mindfulness approach to explore what's going on in your life with kind curiosity and without judgment. My hope if for you to foster the ability to witness yourself clearly and with self-compassion.

Most importantly, I affirm you as the primary actor in your life. What are you "dealing with" that you might actually change? We'll find out!

What you can expect from me

Awareness - As I get to know you better, I'll reflect back to you patterns I notice. You might not have been aware of them or thought about how they impact your mental health because they have been so routine and normal.

Encouragement - We're all humans doing our best! My goal is for you to leave sessions able to accept yourself for where you are and encouraged to keep going in your personal growth.

Action items - This doesn't necessarily occur every session, but when a particular dynamic or pattern is clearly impacting you in a negative way, and you show/express readiness to try something new, you and I will create different options for you to try in your life and relationships. This is where the magic happens!
