Great to meet you!

I’m Elizabeth Franklin, a Licensed Professional Counselor with national board certification, and I’ve been in practice for 8 years. My work is grounded in the belief that every person has strengths worth building on, even when life feels heavy, painful, or stuck. I work with children, teens, adults, older adults, individuals, couples, and groups, and I have deep experience supporting clients through trauma, addiction, relationship struggles, behavioral challenges, and life crises. It’s an honor to be trusted with someone’s story, and I want therapy to feel like a secure, compassionate space where you can be honest, feel supported, and begin moving toward healing with more confidence and self-trust.

My approach to therapy

My approach is flexible, strength-based, and tailored to what each client needs most in the moment. I draw from CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, trauma-focused work, and other supportive modalities to help clients better understand themselves, break unhelpful patterns, and build healthier ways of coping and relating. I often work with people who feel weighed down by trauma, addiction, emotional pain, relationship stress, or major life struggles, and my hope is that therapy helps them increase self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, improve their relationships, and create a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

We’ll start by turning down the outside noise and focusing on what feels heaviest for you right now. My goal in the first session is to create a safe, grounded space where you can begin sharing what you’ve been carrying, what feels stuck, and what kind of change you’re hoping for. You can expect compassion, honest support, and practical insight as we begin identifying the patterns, pain points, and strengths that will shape our work together.

In our first sessions, we'll explore questions like: What would healing or progress look like for you? What is bothering you the most? What changes would you hope to see in your life? These conversations help guide our work together and ensure therapy is focused on what matters most to you.
