Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed psychologist with a PhD and over 30 years of clinical experience working with adults through some of the most difficult chapters of their lives — depression, anxiety, OCD, BPD, grief, relationship struggles, and questions of identity. I trained at The New School for Social Research, one of the country's leading psychodynamically-oriented programs, and that foundation shapes everything I do. I'm LGBTQ+ affirming and have worked extensively with queer adults, people navigating complex relationship patterns, and individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. I also speak Hebrew. People often come to me after trying other approaches that helped but didn't go deep enough. I'm interested in the whole person — not just the presenting problem, but the history, the patterns, and the dynamics that made you who you are.

My approach to therapy

My approach is psychodynamic, which means we work at two levels simultaneously. On the surface, we focus on the here and now — what's happening in your life, your relationships, and your day-to-day experience. Beneath that, we explore how your history, early experiences, and learned patterns are shaping what's happening today. This isn't a quick-fix model. It's insight-oriented work that leads to real, lasting change — not just management of symptoms, but a shift in how you experience yourself and your relationships. Sessions are collaborative and conversational. I follow your lead. I ask questions most therapists don't. And I bring 30 years of pattern recognition to every conversation.

What you can expect from me

Expect to be listened to — really listened to. The first session is a conversation, not an intake form. I want to understand what brought you in, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping for. You don't need to have it figured out. Most people who sit with me for the first time say they weren't sure what to expect, but they felt relieved — like something was finally making sense. By the end, we'll have a sense of whether we're a good fit and what working together might look like. There's no pressure. Reach out, and let's talk.
