Great to meet you!

I'm a licensed professional counselor in the state of Virginia and have experience in substance use, mental health challenges, and many other various issues. I'm truly passionate about helping people live their best lives. Let's face it, life is hard. But you don't have to do it alone. My goal is to offer hope and partnership as you navigate the challenges you're facing.

I enjoy working with various client issues but have a passion for helping people deal with past traumas and helping people learn to manage mental health challenges and neurodivergence like depression, anxiety, ADHD. Clients with these issues often don't fully understand their challenges and don't know what to do next. They often feel very alone and vulnerable. Therapy can truly change their lives and it's such an honor and privilege to partner with someone on their healing journey.

My approach to therapy

I believe that people are always doing the best they can and when they know how to do better, they do! I use warmth, honesty, and humor to help clients explore and grow. You're the expert in your life, but maybe I can point out something you didn't see before.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I'd like to get to know about what has you seeking treatment and I'd like to learn about biological, psychological, and social factors that have shaped your world and maybe even your brain or functioning. This gives me a better idea of where we are starting. Then I want to learn about what your goals are so that we can partner in creating a plan to meet those goals.
