Great to meet you!

I received my Master of Social Work degree from Texas State University. After graduation, I worked in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric hospital programs providing group psychotherapy services to highly diverse groups of clients. I have been providing outpatient psychotherapy to individual clients since 2020. Many of my clients identify as Latine, LGBTQIA, BIPOC, chronically ill, and/or neurodivergent. I treat mood, anxiety, psychotic, and behavioral disorders, as well as trauma.

My approach to therapy

I see therapy as an opportunity for self-exploration, learning new skills, values-driven action, and personal growth. Psychotherapy is a collaborative effort, and I encourage my clients to take an active role in making decisions about their treatment. My therapeutic approach is founded on compassion and warmth, reflecting my background as a certified yoga instructor and student of meditation. My practice is also informed by principles of Buddhist philosophy and gender theory.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions with new skills or tools to help them cope effectively with their specific concerns. They can also expect to gain a deeper insight into their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships.
