Great to meet you!

I am a New York state licensed psychologist with over 30 years of experience. I specialize in working with college-aged young adults who struggle with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression and life transitions as well as academic, social and relationship issues. I have expertise working with student-athletes to support their emotional well-being and promote positive athletic performance.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I provide a supportive therapeutic environment in which I work together with clients to "connect the dots" between experiences, thoughts and behaviors. I create a warm, comfortable environment that is collaborative, practical and solution-focused--one that assists clients to increase self-awareness, identify needs and set short and long term goals. My therapeutic style is insight-based, humanistic and strength-based and integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness strategies, acceptance and commitment therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. My work with athletes includes the use of CBT and related modalities to manage stress, anxiety, self-criticism and perfectionism that impacts emotional well-being and performance,

What you can expect from our first session

Clients will leave our sessions feeling safe, accepted and supported as well as experiencing a sense of hope and excitement related to the therapeutic process. Additionally, clients will leave each session with increased insight, short and long term therapeutic goals and valuable, practical perspectives, strategies and practices to assist in reaching those goals.
