Great to meet you!

Hi there!

I'm so glad you have taken a step toward prioritizing self-care by searching for a therapist. I've been a licensed mental health counselor in Florida for 20+ years and have provided therapy for adult women across a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and marital and family conflict.

My approach to therapy

I am a warm and active listener, and believe that the counseling process should be collaborative. In the therapeutic relationship, we will work together to discover your strengths and weaknesses, the things that drive you, and the solutions to your struggles. I am compassionate , non-judgmental, and ready to help you along your journey. In addition to Cognitive-Behavioral and Dialectical Behavior therapies, I use a variety of counseling theories and work hard to tailor the counseling process to fit what each person needs. As a person of Christian faith, I love to incorporate a spiritual component in therapy for those who are open and interested in exploring the Bible as a guide.

What you can expect from me

In our first sessions together I will be eager to hear your story and learn about your struggles and concerns. From there, we'll work on setting and evaluating your therapy goals together so we can mark your progress and get you on the road to achieving those goals. Life is hard and full of trials for all of us, but I have learned that each difficulty we face can bring about deeper maturity and enduring hope for the future. I look forward to being a part of your journey!
