My approach to therapy varies based on my clients’ needs but my overall orientation is rooted in Family Systems and Narrative Therapy modalities. I believe my clients’ unique perspectives and relational context illustrate their experience. I join my clients where they are, and we begin
working towards a new outlook together.
Over the last 10+ years as a practicing clinician, I have found that my style is well suited for working with teens, their families, and young adults who may be coping with the stress of life transitions and social/relational challenges. Often times, these challenges present as stress,
anxiety, depression, stagnation, and avoidance. For athletes, these challenges can present as mental blocks. I work to help my clients understand their own strengths, learn new ways to know and express themselves, and begin to relate to their challenges differently.
My communication style is relaxed, friendly, and authentic. I often interject humor to help my clients feel comfortable. My ultimate goal is for my clients to feel safe and comfortable in a judgment-free therapeutic relationship.
