Great to meet you!

Elizabeth uses an integrative approach (CBT, Solution Focused, Strength Based, Bibliotherapy for children) because she believe's each person experiences their challenges differently. When working with Elizabeth, be prepared to come in with a drive to work on yourself and ready to learn how to remove any negative self talk that puts you down. Elizabeth wants you to feel comfortable in therapy and her focus is to understand your problem and then guide you in developing the appropriate solutions.

My approach to therapy

Before any work can start, it is important that the therapist and client build a rapport. Elizabeth, will then collaborate with the client in creating goals that are centered towards their needs. Elizabeth, desires that the client focuses on their small progress as they work toward the bigger goal. Elizabeth will utilize play interventions with children and with teenager/young adults there will be a focus on writing and reading on how to improve themselves.

What you can expect from me

Elizabeth's goal is for the client to learn how to approach difficult issues outside of therapy with confidence. Elizabeth, believes that with each session a client will experience a variety of emotions as we work through problems that come up in their daily life. Client will leave with solutions and coping skills to utilize when experiencing moments of hardship.
