Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Elizabeth and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Prescreener (CP).

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and a Master’s in Social Work from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. As for my professional career, I have worked for local Community Service Boards (CSB) in both Emergency Services and Inpatient settings. My background in these settings has allowed me to work with a variety of mental health disorders, such as depression, anxiety, Borderline Personality Disorder, Schizophrenia, substance abuse disorders, PTSD, and ADHD.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching crime shows, and going for walks. However, my favorite activity is spending time with my large family, which includes 5 kids, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and a fish named Spiderman.

My approach to therapy

I have experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, risk assessments, and expressive arts. My specialties include treating mood disorders, processing past traumas, and developing coping skills. I am committed to providing an environment that is comfortable by using a calm, friendly demeanor.

What you can expect from me

I strive to be affirming while also challenging my clients to think outside of the box. Solutions come in various ways and if something does not work the first time - we will find another way together.
