Great to meet you!
Navigating generations of ancestral trauma, systemic oppression, and deep-rooted emotional wounds requires a guide who truly understands the complexity of your lived experiences. Liz is born and raised in East Los Angeles to a working-class family and a daughter of Mexican immigrants. She has been working in the mental health field for over 20 years and focuses on BIPOC women, spirituality, the indigenization of mental health, and provides affirming care for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Liz holds a master’s degree in counseling from California Institute of Integral Studies, with a concentration in expressive arts therapy (which is a combination of art, music, drama and movement therapy). She enjoys integrating Indigenous healing technology into her sessions. And is also trained in Brainspotting, which originates from EMDR and supports clients in processing traumatic experiences.
