Great to meet you!

I have been a therapist for 7 years. I have experience working with substance abuse, domestic violence, PTSD, mood disorders, families and family conflict, anxiety and depression and many other issues. I try to meet people where they are at and help them to feel comfortable with the therapeutic process and understand that this is a collaboration where we work together to accomplish goals. In addition to being a therapist I have also served in the military for over ten years and have deployed to Iraq and I am parent as well.

My approach to therapy

I use a holistic approach in therapy when working with clients because there are many factors which can affect a person's mental health, including medical issues, social relationships, financial concerns and past experiences.

What you can expect from me

I spend the first session trying to get to know the individual I am working with as much as possible. I ask about hobbies, family, friends, career, goals, likes and dislikes, and whatever they might feel comfortable with sharing. The first step in the therapeutic process is being able to understand the person you are with, how they operate, and what makes them who they are.
