Great to meet you!

I am the owner of a group private practice called Sage Tree Therapy. My intake process requires that you email [email protected] or call (314)485-SAGE and request an assessment appointment. A member of our staff will get back to you asap and schedule a 60-minute session to collect all of the necessary information to get onboarded at Sage Tree Therapy. During this appointment you can request Elizabeth or any other Sage Tree Therapist. You can find more information about our assessment process and our therapists at www.SageTreeTherapy.com

I've been in private practice for almost 14 years, an LCSW for 19 years, originally in St Louis, Mo. Currently based out of Denver, Co and doing telehealth exclusively. I specialize in working with moms and birthing parents of all ages in stages. I have advanced training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders as well as birth trauma. I LOVE walking with women during their pregnancy and parenting journeys!

My approach to therapy

I consider my therapeutic approach to be highly intuitive and client centered. I use a framework of trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy but I also use a lot of mindfulness, self-compassion and somatic techniques. I've studied with Dr. Brene Brown to help clients learn about shame resilience and the importance of practicing empathy. My style is very authentic, I don't sugar coat things, I value vulnerability and consider it a strength. I use humor and have been known to curse and make up random analogies and metaphors to help clients understand what they need and figure out how to get it!

What you can expect from me

Validation, encouragement, honesty and loads of empathy. I like to see the therapy process as the client sitting in the driver's seat of the car. .You are in control. I'm sitting beside you in the passenger seat. I've got a roadmap, yelp reviews for pit stops, snacks and a kick-ass playlist. My job is to help you determine where you want to go and give you lots of options and choices. I'm with you on the ride and I'm not judging your choices - I'm on this journey with you.
