Great to meet you!

People come into counseling for many reasons and so a quality therapist needs to be well prepared. You may be struggling with intense worries, lack of motivation, addictive behaviors, unmanageable thoughts, traumatic grief, or challenging people in your life. I am a well-rounded, resourceful therapist, easily accessible, able to work with a wide range of people of different ages and circumstances, and will be a great asset to your life. Whether it be child or teen struggles, transitions to adulthood, having intimate relationships, stress of parenting, or chronic health conditions, clients trust the process and they trust me to help.

EdM Harvard Graduate School of Education 2002; MS University of Massachusetts Boston 2013

My approach to therapy

Building a strong therapeutic relationship is what therapists do well, but what sets me apart from others is that I have lived in the cross-sections between various social-economic groups, making me more relatable. I grew up in suburban NY receiving a gifted/honors public education, but also lived (and survived !) through PTSD, infertility, and late-achieved milestones.

What you can expect from me

Who you decide to be your therapist is a personal choice to make. I'm emotionally and intellectually present during sessions and give it my all. I am relentless for helping and I do my best to get my clients into a better place. I wouldn't have survived without therapy for myself, and giving back is the least I can do. Things can get better, they do.

First session is the intake, where I'll ask many questions and learn about your reasons for therapy at this time. We'll discuss any relevant symptoms, contributing factors, and your goals for therapy.
