Elizabeth McErlean

Welcome, I have been a practicing LCSW/Therapist for about 8 years. I have been working in social work for about 11 years from community health to child protective services.

I live in the Raleigh/Durham, NC area, but spent most of my life in Southern Wisconsin. I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology and two graduate degrees, one in Criminal Justice and one in Social Work.

I am licensed LCSW therapist in Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Virginia.

I practice from a place of flexibility so I try to keep a couple slots open weekly, knowing sometimes things come up.

I am primarily guided by the core values of social work in my practice and my lie. I am committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of life. I take a holistic approach, believing in the inherent goodness of people and their capacity for change. My practice is focused on empowering individuals to define and achieve their own goals, and I am genuinely invested in people’s lives and well-being, I strive to create a space where growth, healing, and transformation can flourish.

It is not my role to tell you how to live your life—rather, I am here to support and guide you on your journey. You are here to be heard. You can expect a safe space to express your feelings and explore your struggles. That doesn't mean I only listen though. I am honest and forthright about what I am hearing you say and seeing your do. Sometimes we may have some tough discussions, but through it all, I am in your corner.
