Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker and licensed chemical dependency counselor with extensive experience in the behavioral health and substance use fields. With a Master of Social Work and Bachelor of Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington, I am dedicated to providing compassionate and empathetic support to individuals and families navigating complex challenges. Specializing in the treatment of trauma, PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and various personality disorders, I empower my clients through a tailored approach that fosters healing and resilience. Known for my caring demeanor and deep understanding of the human experience, I am committed to helping teens, adults, and family systems achieve their therapeutic goals and improve their overall well-being.

My approach to therapy

In my therapeutic practice, I embrace an eclectic approach that allows me to tailor treatment to the unique needs of each client. As an EMDRIA-trained EMDR therapist, I incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to effectively address trauma and emotional distress. My methodology also includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, all designed to empower clients in their journey toward healing and growth. Additionally, I prioritize psychoeducation to equip clients with the knowledge and skills necessary for lasting change. This flexible and integrative framework enables me to create a supportive environment where individuals can explore their challenges and achieve their therapeutic goals.

The healing journey is about transformation, resilience, and finding hope amidst the pain. You are the expert of your experiences. I want to help you understand that your experiences have taught you false beliefs about yourself, others, and the world. Let's envision a future where your past no longer dictates your present. Together, we can heal.

What you can expect from me

Working with me, you will notice that I create a safe and supportive environment where you can express feelings and share your experiences without judgment. I will help you learn new strategies to manage symptoms, develop a more profound understanding, and heal from traumatic events.
