Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Art Therapist who works with children (ages 8 and up) and adults. I use a person-centered approach. I like to help my clients find creative expression through art when words are not enough. I have worked with clients in a variety of clinical settings, including those in the foster care system and state-run residential treatment centers. I have experience with veterans, children with special needs, and those on the Autism Spectrum.

My approach to therapy

I approach counseling from a holistic lens. Healing and well-being include the emotional, mental, physical, social, and spiritual aspects of a person's life. Additionally, I offer faith-based counseling when desired. I have 17 years of experience as an art teacher and dyslexia interventionist. My prior experience greatly contributes to my effectiveness as a licensed professional counselor and registered art therapist. I also like to utilize my experience with trauma-informed therapy.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to take away from sessions a better understanding of who they are and their unique authentic personalities. Clients will gain an understanding of how they can operate more effectively when they identify their value system and how to establish boundaries accordingly. Lastly, once clients experience the acceptance from counseling sessions they can transform their thinking to include those outside of themselves.
