Great to meet you!

I am a graduate of UW-Madison, and UGA. I acquired a certification as a Grief Recovery Specialist, as well as a specialization in maternal mental health and the wellness of women. I have experience in inpatient and outpatient settings as have been in private practice for many years. I am a crime victim advocate for the State of Georgia, and am the Volunteer Coordinator for Post Partum International in SW Georgia region.

Outside of work, I am a wife and mother. I have a passion for live music, and animals, (yes they are family to me), and travel.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, comfortable and clarifying. I want to understand your lens of the world, and what that means to you. I utilize an integrated approach, assessing your nutritional, physical, medical and emotional needs. This is important to establish your realistic expectations of therapy. We will work together to treat not just symptoms or surface issues but the cause of them. Therapy modalities will evolve and homework might be assigned, if appropriate. I provide resources and education throughout this process to enhance understanding and may additional support with recommendations. I will be your advocate throughout the process.

What you can expect from me

I start where you are. Creating a sense of safety, as we get to know each other, so you can decide if were are a good fit to move forward. A thorough assessment and history is essential.
