Great to meet you!

HI! I'm Elizabeth! I'm an LMFT who graduated in 2018 fron Liberty University. I've worked in community mental health, psychiatric hospitals and private practice. I think I have the best job in the world and I absolutely love helping my clients find strategies and solutions that make sense for them! I typically work with teenagers and women who are going through life changes. They find themselves needing some additional help to solve problems or support to see it through.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy usually has do with systems; so how you relate to yourself and others. I'm pretty open and I like my clients to be the same. I know therapy can be daunting...you're telling a stranger your secrets and fears...but what you're going through is probably not as strange or alone as you think and it's definitely a challenge you can face! I believe in my client's autonomy and ability to navigate challenges and do hard things. Sometimes, you're just not sure where to start, so that's what we figure out together.

What you can expect from me

I think my clients leave the first session feeling heard, understood and hopeful. I want my clients to be able to say "she gets me." I like "homework" and always try to give assignments of some sort to help my client's work towards their goals between sessions. I am intentional in what I do and I help my clients learn to be intentional with their journey and progress. Besides just thinking about the "process" of therapy and the talk portion, I also want you to find actionable items that make your life different, that you can "practice" outside of session.
