Great to meet you!

I understand how life can change in an instant. When this happens, everything—our emotions, relationships, and sense of stability—can feel out of balance. It takes strength and resilience to navigate difficult times.

I wanted a career that I would be able to help others. I pursued a career in Social Work, earning both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in the field. For over 30 years, I have worked as a Social Worker, gaining valuable experience and insight. My work has primarily focused on individuals facing grief, trauma, and life transitions. I have extensive experience in medical settings, working with parents, children, young adults, and families coping with devastating diagnoses, grief and trauma. Additionally, I have worked closely with crime victims, individuals with disabilities, and caregivers, helping them navigate their challenges and build resilience.

My approach to therapy

I am an intuitive and compassionate provider, often described as creating a calming and supportive atmosphere—even in high-stress situations. My goal is to meet each client where they are, offering a space of understanding, acceptance, and encouragement.

For those who find strength in their faith, I am open to incorporating Christianity into counseling sessions. However, I also respect and honor those who prefer not to include spirituality. During the initial assessment, we will discuss your values and preferences to ensure that counseling is tailored to your unique needs and beliefs.

My intake process includes a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment, where we discuss your current challenges, support system, personal strengths, and any barriers to healing. Together, we identify your goals and create a path forward. I strive to understand each client as a whole person, taking into account their background, experiences, and individual journey.

I work with a wide range of individuals, including those experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma. My primary focus is helping those going through life transitions, coping with loss, or healing from traumatic experiences.

What you can expect from me

Depression and anxiety often go hand in hand, I can help you learn coping skills to help you manage life at your best. Progress in therapy is different for everyone, but I believe in creating a safe and supportive space where clients can grow, build resilience, and find balance.
