Elizabeth Patterson

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a variety of professional experiences. I have a unique competency and passion in working with young children and their caregivers (8 and under) as well as working with First Responder families.

I obtained my MSW from the University of Pittsburgh and my most recent jobs have included working as a child therapist and Early Childhood Mental Health consultant, I obtained my LSW in 2020 and my LCSW in 2024. I also am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, trained in EMDR.

I base all of my work in Relational neurobiology and the polyvagal model. I help clients and caregivers understand how their nervous system is responding to their environments, and how this may be related to their feelings and experiences. I look at the total context of an individual's environment, and help them consider how their past experiences may be influencing their present.

Our sessions will be focused on just getting to know you and building our relationship. You never have to bring anything but your self, showing up is powerful in this work!

As we continue to work together, I will empower you to direct our sessions together based on what you need. In our sessions, you can expect nervous system regulation strategies and information, a nonjudgmental space and empowerment, and a space for reflection on problems that are causing you distress in your life.
