Great to meet you!

When getting through the day takes more than it used to, or worry and old memories keep crowding in, you don’t need to have it figured out before we meet. I’m a licensed clinical social worker with 10+ years of experience working with adults, teens, couples, and families. I specialize in depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and PTSD, and I also help with grief, relationship and family stress, chronic health conditions, and pregnancy and postpartum. I have experience supporting people with serious mental illness and developmental disabilities, and I welcome lesbian, gay, and bisexual clients and anyone exploring identity or culture. MSW, Rutgers University. Licensed in New Jersey (LCSW) and Massachusetts (LICSW).

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me is a real conversation, not a lecture. I draw mainly on CBT to explore how your thoughts, feelings, and actions connect, and on ACT to help you make room for hard feelings while moving toward what matters. When trauma is involved, I use trauma-focused CBT. Not sure you’re ready for change? We can start there. With couples and families, I focus on the patterns between people and make sure everyone is heard. Throughout, I build on your strengths, not just what feels hard.

What you can expect from me

Feeling nervous is a normal place to start. There's nothing to prepare. I’ll ask what brought you in, and “I’m not sure where to begin” is a perfectly good answer. You’re welcome to ask me questions too. Couples and families will each get a chance to share their perspective. By the end, you’ll have a clearer sense of your goals and whether we’re a good fit, and we’ll shape our work from there.
