Great to meet you!

I specialize in reducing anxiety, depression and the negative effects from trauma or disturbing events. I primarily use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). This is a non-invasive evidence-based psychotherapy that involves less talking than other forms of therapy. You can feel better without discussing the details of what happened.

My approach to therapy

You deserve to feel free and strong. I support you when your coping abilities are being tested, and together we discover ways for you to thrive, regardless of your circumstances. I know asking for help is hard. Having the courage to do so is commendable. Your time is valuable. Finding the right therapist can be exhausting. I offer free 15-minute phone consultations to see if we are a good fit. My goal is to help you live the life you want. We work together so that you are free to respond to situations rather than react. Treatment will increase your innate coping capacity which builds self-esteem and empowers you to pursue your goals and dreams.

What you can expect from me

Together we will clarify what you hope to get out of treatment. Common goals include: having more confidence, standing up for myself, getting rid of anxiety and depression, stop intrusive thoughts and better sleep. We create a road map and set the groundwork for healing to begin. We also identify mindfulness or grounding techniques you can practice in between sessions, to support your growth and transformation.
