Great to meet you!

I’m Elizabeth “Liz” Skidmore, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving teens and adults in Nevada. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, stress, and the mental load of everyday life. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, caught in patterns of self-doubt, or adjusting to a life transition, therapy can offer space to feel heard and find a way forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you understand the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and actions, build skills for handling discomfort, and make choices that reflect what matters to you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance to get to know each other and explore what brings you to therapy. I aim to create a warm, welcoming space where you can share at your own pace; there’s no pressure to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin.

We’ll talk about your current concerns, relevant history, and what you hope will change through therapy. Together, we’ll identify initial goals and discuss how we might work toward them. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, with a clearer sense of our next steps and what working together could look like.
