Great to meet you!

Many of us know what we want to change but struggle to understand why the same thoughts, emotions, and patterns keep showing up.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 20 years of clinical experience helping adults and couples navigate anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, self esteem concerns, and personal growth. Throughout my career, I've worked in private practice, psychological assessment, research settings, and intensive outpatient treatment programs.

My work is grounded in evidence based therapy and informed by current research in psychology and neuroscience. I'm passionate about helping clients understand how the brain, emotions, beliefs, and life experiences interact to shape the patterns that influence everyday decisions, relationships, and overall well being.

Clients often tell me they appreciate having a therapist who can explain complex psychological concepts in ways that are practical, relatable, and easy to apply in real life. My goal is to help you gain insight into what's happening beneath the surface so you can move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and purpose.

Clients often describe me as warm, approachable, collaborative, and easy to talk with. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel understood, supported, and empowered with the right tools.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, mindfulness based strategies, and neuroscience informed interventions to help clients better understand themselves and create lasting change.

Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, we work together to identify the patterns beneath them. Thoughts shape emotions. Emotions influence behaviors. Repeated behaviors become patterns. Understanding how those patterns develop allows us to intentionally create new ones that better support the life you want to live.

I help clients explore the connections between their thoughts, emotions, relationships, experiences, and personal values. Together, we'll identify strengths, increase self-awareness, develop effective coping strategies, and create practical steps toward meaningful growth.

My goal is to provide both insight and action. Understanding why something happens is important. Learning how to create change is where transformation begins.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to begin understanding your story and the concerns that brought you to therapy.

We'll discuss the challenges you're facing, important life experiences, current stressors, strengths, and what you hope to accomplish through therapy. As we talk, I'll begin looking for patterns that may be influencing how you think, feel, relate to others, and respond to life's circumstances.

Many clients leave the first session feeling relieved to have gained greater clarity about what they're experiencing. Together, we'll begin identifying goals, highlighting strengths, and creating a plan that feels realistic, personalized, and achievable.

You can expect a warm, collaborative experience focused on helping you better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and develop practical strategies for lasting growth and change.
