Great to meet you!

Have you ever felt stuck seeing a situation the same way, even when you wish you could look at it differently? I enjoy working with individuals navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, past experiences, or patterns they’re ready to change. Sometimes, we get so used to our patterns of thinking and responding that it can be hard to imagine another perspective. I want therapy to be a space where you can feel comfortable asking questions, getting curious, and exploring new ways of understanding yourself and your experiences. I take a person-centered, trauma-informed approach, tailoring our work to your unique needs and experiences. Together, we’ll get to know you, explore what makes you who you are, and discover new perspectives that feel meaningful to you. You don’t have to have all the answers before we begin; we’ll figure things out together, one step at a time.

My approach to therapy

My approach is trauma-informed and person-centered because I believe therapy is never a one-size-fits-all process. Everyone has their own way of thinking, feeling, coping, and finding solutions, and I want to get to know you to understand what works best for you. I draw from approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps us explore the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and strengths-based techniques that build on what you already do well. In our sessions, we might explore recurring patterns, practice reframing unhelpful thoughts, or experiment with new coping strategies that feel realistic for your everyday life. I enjoy incorporating creativity into therapy by finding different ways to approach challenges and explore new perspectives. Think of it as creating our own recipe together! We’ll get curious about what helps you thrive and find the right combination of tools and strategies to fit your personality, experiences, and goals. With experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, and life’s challenges, I aim to make therapy collaborative, flexible, and meaningful. We’ll make adjustments along the way, moving at your pace and building an approach that feels authentic to you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a connection. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and what support might look like for you. But I also want to get to know you beyond the things you’re struggling with! I love learning about your interests, hobbies, passions, relationships, and all the little things that make you who you are. These details help me better understand you as a person and give us the ingredients to create our recipe for therapy, tailored to your personality, strengths, and needs. You don’t need to have all the answers or know exactly where to begin. We’ll take things at your pace, and my goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and comfortable being yourself as we begin this journey together.
