Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am a compassionate and approachable therapist providing a supportive space for healing and growth, dedicated to helping middle aged adults and seniors navigate life's challenges with confidence and hope. I have experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, caregiving responsibilities, chronic illness, social isolation, loneliness, and grief and loss. I earned my Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville, and I am committed to evidence-based, client-centered care. My goal is to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, valued, and empowered. Together, we can work toward greater emotional well-being and a more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

I work with clients by building a trusting, nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship that provides a safe space to explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My approach is tailored to each individual's unique needs and goals, drawing from a variety of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Relational-Cultural Therapy (RCT). Depending on the client's preference and circumstances, I may utilize a client-centered, exploratory style or a more structured, goal-oriented approach focused on problem-solving and meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Your first therapy session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic connection. During this time, you can ask questions about my experience, credentials, and therapeutic approach, while sharing what brings you to therapy and the challenges you are currently facing. You are never expected to share everything at once, and we will move at a pace that feels comfortable to you. Together, we will identify goals for treatment and discuss next steps, including how often we will meet, with sessions typically lasting 50 minutes and occurring weekly or bi-weekly.
