Great to meet you!

I find so much joy being a therapist and I believe that joy is felt by the people I work with. I have been providing mental health services for almost a decade to teens, young adults, and couples. I am experienced in exploring relationship and family dynamics, trauma-work, and identity exploration. Some groups I am particularly experienced and passionate about working with are people who have been in the foster care system, recent college graduates, and queer individuals and couples.

My approach to therapy

I believe the path to change begins with self-acceptance and I see my role as a guide on your journey to gain more self-understanding. I tend to work psychodynamically which means I'll be interested in your early childhood experiences and relationships and how they are impacting your present. I also believe our relationship will be the most valuable aspect of our work together. My hope is that we create a space that allows you to explore all parts of yourself- even the darkest ones- with compassion and curiosity. If you are seeing me for couples work, I'll help you understand your relationship dynamic and work on helping you build more closeness and trust.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I'll be curious to hear what is bringing you to therapy in this season of life and I'll hope we can both explore together how I can be helpful to you. The first session is a time for me to get to know you and for you to see if I'm a good match for you.
