Great to meet you!

I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with adults who are navigating trauma, anxiety, life stress, and chronic mental health conditions. My work is grounded in helping clients understand how past experiences, especially relational or chronic stress continue to impact how they feel, think, and relate to others today. I have worked with adults across a range of settings, supporting clients through difficult life transitions, relationship challenges, and the lasting effects of overwhelming life experiences. I have specific experience working with survivors of intimate partner violence, migration trauma, childhood abuse, human trafficking, and those with severe and persistent mental illness. I received my degree in International Disaster Psychology: Global Mental Health & Trauma from the University of Denver. My background includes training in trauma-informed care, culturally-sensitive care, and evidenced-based modalities such as Narrative therapy, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is non-judgmental, empathetic, and collaborative, while also being creative and goal-oriented. I believe that therapy should feel like a partnership--where you feel supported, heard, and understood, but also challenged in ways that lead to meaningful growth. I am naturally curious and insight-oriented, and I'll work with you to gently explore the patterns, narratives and experiences contributing to your distress. At the same time, I am not a passive therapist--I will help you connect the dots, challenge what isn't serving you, and build practical tools so you can start feeling more grounded and empowered in your day-to-day life.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust. We'll talk about what's bringing you in, what you've been experiencing, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. You can expect me to ask questions to better understand your background, current challenges, and any patterns you've noticed. There's no pressure to share everything all at once--we'll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. By the end of the session, my goal is for you to feel heard and have a clearer sense of how I work and begin identifying initial areas we can focus on together moving forward. I strive to create a space that feels safe, steady, and nonjudgmental, while still supporting meaningful progress and growth.
