Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Elle, and I am a licensed mental health counselor. After completing my Masters degree work at Boston University in 2007 and gaining my license, I opened my private practice in 2013. Over the last 15+ years I have been tuning my skills as a therapist and developing my specialities. These include anxiety disorders, ADHD, major life transitions such as divorce or job loss, and grief. My practice is telehealth-only and I find this works well to implement psycho-education and resource-sharing seamlessly into sessions.

My approach to therapy

My approach to my therapy work is multi-disciplinary. As a person-centered therapist, I start where the client is and work alongside them to support their journey toward achieving their personal goals. I implement Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with skills pulled from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I ask thoughtful questions to both better understand my client's experiences and help them deepen their own self-awareness. My warm and easy-going approach creates a safe space for engaging in the meaningful and sometimes challenging work that therapy requires.

What you can expect from me

The first session is referred to as the Diagnostic Session. I am here to help you to organize the information that you present, connect the dots, and encourage you to invest in yourself. The work within therapy creates a foundation and freedom that aims to reduce the friction caused by thoughts and experience; thereby enabling us to be our most authentic selves.

Therapy is an opportunity to gain more insight into why you feel the way you feel, as well as help you to cope and move through any uncomfortable feelings. At the end of each session, it is my goal to help you get closer to reaching your unique and individualized goals.
